Submit an Article for AGA's Fall Journal

June 1, 2014

AGA’s Journal Editorial Board seeks articles for consideration in our quarterly Journal of Government Financial Management (Journal). The Journal is a peer-reviewed publication. Accepted articles should provide practical insights into an aspect of government financial management.

Fall 2014: Duplication and Overlap of Government Programs and Services– What is being done from a management and audit perspective to reduce associated costs? Governments at all levels face budget constraints, and we seek articles describing steps to eliminate duplication and overlap, including management’s initiatives to address this issue and techniques used to produce audit findings and recommendations. For example, articles about the implementation of OMB’s Shared Services Strategy that describe successful implementation of federal financial systems would be useful to our readers. Articles that describe the successful and unsuccessful efforts to merge local governments (i.e., school districts and villages) would also be of interest. Writing Deadline: June 1, 2014
