AGA Sectional Leadership Meeting (SLM) - Section III

What is the SLM?

The SLM is designed to bring national, sectional, regional and chapter leaders together with AGA national office staff to discuss the following objectives.  A draft agenda will be posted on the website soon.

  • AGA's national direction and initiatives.

  • Expectations of our national, regional and chapter leaders.

  • Ways to improve services to current members and recruit new members and leaders.

  • How to access information to be a more effective leader.

Who is Invited?

This is an important topic! Below is the list of those invited.  AGA will cover the travel costs for each participant and there is no registration fee required.  This makes attendance easy for everyone!

  • Regional Vice President-Elects

  • Regional Vice President-Elect Designates

  • Regional Coordinators for Chapter Development and Assistance, Membership, CGFM, Education and Early Career (if established)

  • Chapter President-Elects

  • Chapter President-Elect Designates

  • Incoming Chapter Membership or Early Career Chairs

  • Incoming Chapter CGFM Chairs

  • Incoming Chapter Education Chairs

If the elects or elect designates are unable to attend, the current officer can attend in their place. 

When Should You Arrive?

National and Regional Leaders, including Regional Coordinators, should arrive at the John Ascuaga's Nugget in time for the start of the SLM on Friday, May 16 at 10:30 a.m. Chapter Representatives should plan to arrive at the hotel in time to register and have lunch (at 11:45 a.m.) on Friday. The dress code for the SLM is business casual. See you there!”

Hotel and Travel Expenses

AGA will cover all reasonable expenses associated with your travel to Reno/Sparks, including hotel accommodations, parking, mileage reimbursement and taxi fare.  You can book airfare at no cost to you through AGA’s travel agent, Avenue Travel.  Please contact Steve Gardner at steve@avenuetravel.com or call 888.548.5554 to book your flight.  If you prefer to book your own travel and request reimbursement, please email the itinerary and cost to Jessica Jones for approval prior to purchase.  Note that flights must be purchased 30 days prior to the event.
