How Do I Purchase the Exams?
This is the next step after applying for the CGFM Program and receiving an
eligibility letter from AGA. If you have not applied for the CGFM Program, go
to Where Do I Start?
To register with Pearson VUE, pay for your exam(s) and
schedule your testing appointment, please click on the link
below:
You will need your candidate ID to
purchase the examinations (the candidate ID is found on your
eligibility letter). If you don’t know your candidate ID, you
can request it by sending an email to
agacgfm@agacgfm.org with your name, address and telephone
number.
Pearson VUE Registration Instructions:
OPTION
A - online registration:
Click on
“Examination purchase” link above, which takes you to AGA’s page
on Pearson VUE website. Click on “Schedule Online” button in
the middle of the page or “Schedule a test” or “My account”
button on the list of navigational buttons on the right.

Step 1 – set up your account:
click on
“Create a new web account”, select “Financial Services” for
the Type of Test and “Association of Government Accountants”
for Test Program and click “Next”. Enter the required
information on the Profile screen (for the last question,
please enter your Candidate ID found on your eligibility
letter) and click “Next”. Enter the required information on
the Contact screen and click “Next”. Set up a new Username.
Your password will be emailed to you.\

Step 2 – pay for and schedule exam(s):
sign in using the Username and Password you’ve set up during
your previous registration with Pearson VUE (or use the
appropriate links if you forgot your username or password).
After you sign in, you can schedule/change your test
appointments, view your testing history and view/modify your
personal information.
OPTION
B - phone registration:
You can also
register with Pearson VUE and schedule your testing appointment
by calling 1-888-846-6948 (Monday – Friday, 7am – 7pm CT, except
for holidays).
If you wish
to cancel or reschedule your testing appointment, you must
contact Pearson VUE at 1.888.846.6948 or by logging into your
account and changing your appointment at least one business day
prior to your originally scheduled exam appointment. Failure to
cancel or reschedule within the appropriate time frame will be
considered a “no show,” and you will be charged the full exam
fee.
