CGFM Examinations Update: Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When will the updated CGFM Examinations be available?
A: The updated CGFM Examinations will be offered for the first time at the Intensive Review Course/CGFM Examinations event to take place before the Professional Development Conference in Atlanta on July 24-27, 2008. The updated examinations will be available in Prometric testing centers beginning on August 15, 2008.

Q: If I take a CGFM Examination at a testing center before August 15, which examination will I get?
A: CGFM Examinations taken prior to August 15, 2008 at a Prometric testing center will follow the existing examinations content outline. Examinations taken on or after August 15 will follow the updated examinations content outline.

Q: I have already purchased a CGFM Examination to be taken a Prometric testing center. If I don't take it before August 15, will it expire?
A: No. You will still be able to take the examinations you've already purchased (as long as your eligibility period is still valid), but on or after August 15 you will get the updated examination.

Q: I have passed one of the three examinations already. If I don't pass the other two examinations before August 15, will this exam result still be valid?
A: Yes. The examinations update will not affect your eligibility or past exam results. As long as your eligibility is still valid, you can take the remaining examinations after August 15 or, in case you did not pass an examination, retake that examination after satisfying the waiting period. The waiting period for retaking an examination will remain the same. Any examinations taken after August 15 will use the updated examinations content outline.
