Rules
- Teams must have 3 - 4 members. Members must be students
currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at the school they
represent.
- Only one team from each school may apply.
- Teams must be registered by 5:00 pm. EST on October
3, 2008 to
participate.
- Teams must submit a solution to the case by 5:00 p.m. EST,
October 14, 2008.
- Team solutions should be no more than 10 pages double-spaced in
12-point Arial. Page margins should be one inch from the top,
bottom, left and right. Names of all team members and their school
should be included in the document header.
- Teams may use primary and secondary resources available to them.
Please site any sources using MLA format. All primary research must
be conducted by team members.
- Any late entries will result in a penalty of one point for each
day that the entry is late.
- The two highest-scoring teams will be selected and announced on
Monday, November 17, 2008 and will receive a scholarship to attend the AGA
National Leadership Conference (NLC) in Washington, D.C. on February
19-20, 2009.
- All members from each of the top two teams must be present at
the NLC events on February 19. The brief presentation can be no more
than 20 minutes, and there will be 10 minutes allotted for questions
from the judges, consisting of a panel of government financial
management leaders and corporate sponsors. This presentation will
determine the final winner and will provide students with an
additional opportunity to demonstrate their case findings and
presentation skills. A/V equipment will be made available, and teams
may use any creative format for their presentation.
- Cash prizes will be awarded during
an awards luncheon on February 20,
2009. In addition, each student will receive a stipend
to cover travel and hotel expenses.
- Teams may have a faculty advisor if they choose.
