Cost Principles for Nonprofit Corporations

Individuals who are responsible for or audit federal grant programs that are administered by nonprofit corporations need to know and understand federal cost principles. These principles are set forth in 2 CFR 230 (formerly OMB Circular A-122). This one-day course will explain the cost principles and how to apply them appropriately.

The course covers the following topics:

·        Hierarchy of rules

·        Reasons for developing the federal cost principles

·        General principles for determining allowable costs

·        Selected items of cost
