Dates & Location

This year’s conference will be held on September 25-26, 2006, at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, located at 265 Peachtree Street, N.E., in Atlanta, GA. PH: 404.577.1234.

Conference Attire

Business casual attire is appropriate for all conference activities. Slacks, button-down collared shirts, sweaters, blazers, blouses, and most importantly, comfortable shoes, are all appropriate. Suits and ties are not required. Since meeting room temperatures vary, we recommend you bring a sweater or jacket to the sessions.

Name Badge Policy

Please remember to wear your badge when attending AGA functions. This allows you access to conference events. Your badge is proof of registration; without it, you will not be allowed to participate in any conference activities. Guests must be accompanied by a registered attendee. There are no exceptions to this policy.

Special Assistance

Should you need assistance during the conference, please stop by the registration desk or look for a member of the AGA staff. In cases of a medical emergency, you may also dial “0” on any house phone.

Message Center

A message board will be located near the registration desk and will be available throughout the conference for posting messages for conference attendees. AGA does not have the ability to deliver messages directly to attendees, so we ask that you check the message board occasionally.

In an emergency, we will do our best to locate attendees in the meeting rooms at the beginning and end of each session. However, sessions will not be interrupted, so please remember to check the message board and/or voice mail during breaks.

Lost and Found

For your convenience, a lost and found box will be kept at the registration desk. Bring found items or report lost items to the registration desk. AGA will not be responsible for lost personal property.

No Smoking Policy

For the comfort and health of all attendees, smoking is not permitted at any AGA function. This includes educational sessions, the Exhibit Hall and receptions.

Responsible Drinking Policy

Recognizing the emphasis on networking through receptions and social events and the potential for alcohol abuse, AGA encourages attendees to drink responsibly. Supporting this policy, AGA offers nonalcoholic beverages at all functions where alcohol is served. Alcohol will not be served to anyone under age 21.

Cell Phone and Pager Policy

As a courtesy to speakers and other attendees, please refrain from the use of pagers or cell phones during presentations. We ask that you kindly turn off your phone/pager or set it to vibrate only and leave the session if you receive a call or page. Thank you.

Special Dietary Requests

AGA will do its best to accommodate special meal requests for the luncheons. Please be sure to indicate on your registration form if you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions (i.e. diabetic, low salt, kosher, vegetarian, etc.) Attendees that submit a request at least two weeks before the conference will be provided with a special meal based on their dietary needs. Because these meals are ordered before the conference, special meal requests received onsite cannot be guaranteed; however, we will make every attempt to accommodate your needs.

We cannot provide special menus or dietary choices for the breakfasts or receptions; however, we will do our best to offer a variety of selections to accommodate all attendees.

Please note: Food service at plated meal functions will stop after approximately 35 minutes to allow for announcements and award presentations. Please be sure to arrive early enough to be served, especially if you have requested a special meal.

People with Disabilities

AGA strives to hold meetings that are accessible to all. Please tell us what you require to help make your participation more enjoyable and meaningful. Please be sure to indicate on your registration form if you require special assistance, auxiliary aids or other reasonable accommodations to fully participate in this event. Any information regarding your disability will remain confidential. Because many accommodations require early planning, requests should be made as soon as possible.

Special requests received onsite or less than three weeks before the conference cannot be guaranteed; however, every attempt will be made to accommodate your needs.

Medical Facilities

If you need medical attention during the conference, please contact the registration desk or dial “0” on any house phone. The nearest medical facility is Emory Crawford Long Hospital, located at 550 Peachtree St NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30365. PH: 404.686.4411.
