AGA has reserved a block of rooms at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. Soaring 23
stories high into the Atlanta skyline, the Hyatt Regency Atlanta is
strategically located in the heart of downtown, close to Georgia World
Congress Center, Centennial Olympic Park,
Atlanta Botanical
Garden, World of Coca-Cola and the new Georgia Aquarium.
Sightseers are at an advantage of the hotel’s close proximity to a host of
Atlanta restaurants, shops and more. Recently refurbished, guest rooms and
suites of the Hyatt Regency Hotel Atlanta are elegantly decorated and
feature contemporary amenities.
The room rate is $115 (plus tax) per night for single or double
occupancy. The rate of $115 is only guaranteed until September 1, 2006, or
until the room block sells out. Reservations received after September 1, or
after the room block has been filled, will be made on a space-available

The Hyatt requires a credit card for confirming reservations. A check or

Internal Control & Fraud Conference will be held on September 25-26,

taxi and shuttle services for getting to the conference. Please refer to
the information below when planning your trip.
Airport Shuttle
The
Atlanta Link Airport Shuttle
operates 7 days a week between Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and
Hyatt Regency Atlanta. The Atlanta Link transportation desk is located at
the Ground Transportation Center (GTC), which houses all ground
transportation (buses, taxis, shuttles limousines, etc.) for the airport.
From baggage claim follow the signs to ground transportation. The Atlanta
Link Airport Shuttle is located in section C, stalls 10 to 14. The
shuttle leaves the airport every 15 to 20 minutes, between the hours of 6:00
a.m. - 12:00 p.m. The shuttle departs from the front entrance of the Hyatt
Regency Atlanta Hotel at 10 and 40 minutes past the hour. Travel time is
normally 30 minutes. The cost per person is $16.50 one way and $29
roundtrip.
MARTA
The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) is a very
convenient method of travel around Atlanta. MARTA encompasses the rapid rail
system and over 150 bus routes the guarantee an efficient trip anywhere in
metro Atlanta. The trains begin running at approximately 5:00 a.m. and
continue until 1:00 a.m. MARTA is also an easy and inexpensive way to get to
and from the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. The fare is $1.75 and
it’s only a 20-minute trip to Hyatt Regency Atlanta. In addition, MARTA
offers and "all weekend pass" for $9.00.
The closest MARTA station to the hotel is located in Peachtree Center. For
your convenience a covered walkway joins Peachtree Center and Hyatt Regency
Atlanta. All MARTA stations are fully accessible to the physically disabled
and elderly passengers; any needed attendants are able to ride at no charge.
Taxi Service
If you prefer not to take a shuttle, there are plenty of taxicabs available
at the airport and at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta at all times. The fare is
approximately $25 for one person. A special rate applies for trips with two
or more passengers.

privileges are available for hotel guests only. If you are
not a guest at the hotel, you
will be charged for each time you enter and exit the garage.

Should the Hyatt’s
underground lot become full, additional parking can be found in the
Suntrust building, located just a block from the hotel for a rate of

Atlanta's average temperature in September
is 75. Temperatures may vary from day to day so please pack accordingly.
Business casual attire is appropriate for
all conference activities. Slacks, button-down collared shirts, sweaters,
blazers, blouses and most importantly, comfortable shoes, are all
appropriate. Suits and ties are not required.
As a reminder, meeting rooms have a
tendency to be cool. For your comfort, we recommend that you bring a light
