Ideally located on Pennsylvania Avenue's Federal corridor, the beautiful and contemporary hotel offers a celebrated address near the Convention Center, Capitol Hill, the city's best monuments and museums, renowned restaurants, and cultural venues. Take the Metro, just steps from the lobby, and within minutes you’ll arrive at the District’s most renowned addresses of art, culture, entertainment, sports and world-class cuisine. The hotel is adjacent to the National Theater and the Shops of National Place and only blocks away from the White House, the National Mall, historic monuments and some of the city’s best restaurants and cultural venues. The Smithsonian Institution, the U.S. Capitol, Ford’s Theatre and MCI Center are all located nearby. The room rate is $187 (plus tax) per night for single or double occupancy. The rate of $187 is only guaranteed until Monday, January 10, 2006, or until the room block sells out. Reservations received after January 10, or after the room block has been filled, will be made on a space-available basis, and may be subject to higher rates. The Marriott requires a credit card for confirming reservations. A check or money order in the amount of one night’s stay ($187 single/double) may also be used to guarantee a room. Hotel Reservation Deadline: January 10, 2005—Hotel rooms are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis until the hotel is sold out. Make your reservations early! The nation's capital is served by three airports: Ronald Reagan Washington Airport (DCA), Washington Dulles Airport (IAD) and Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI). The Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport is the closest airport to the JW Marriott Hotel and the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. Located just 5 miles south of the city along the Potomac River, the airport offers a full range of domestic flights on major, regional and commuter carriers. It is also accessible on Metro's Yellow and Blue lines. Dulles (26 miles west of Washington) and BWI (35 miles north of Washington) offer a full range of domestic and international flights. Excellent highway access and elaborate ground transportation systems speed passengers on their way. You have the choice of using your own travel agent or an Internet service. There are many websites available that allow you to search for and purchase airline tickets online... Expedia, Orbitz, and Travelocity are just a few. AGA’s National Leadership Conference will take place at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade center, located at located at 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, in Washington, D.C. Attendees can rely on the area's taxi and shuttle services and Metrorail for getting to the conference. Please refer to the information below when planning your travel to Washington. Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)By Metro: Upon arriving at the airport, follow signs to the Reagan National Airport Metro Station, which is adjacent to Terminals B and C. A shuttle bus runs between the Metro station and Terminal A, where Alaska Airlines, ATA, Midway Air Lines and Northwest Airlines continue to operate. From the Metro take you can board either the Blue or Yellow line train to get to the hotel. Blue Line—From the Metro take the Blue in the direction of Addison Road. This train will take you to the JW Marriott Hotel (Metro Center Station) or to the Ronald Reagan Building & International Trade Center (Federal Triangle Station). Yellow Line—From the Metro take the Yellow in the direction of Mt. Vernon Square-Convention Center. Get off at the L’Enfant Plaza Station and transfer to the Blue (Franconia/Springfield) or Orange Line (Vienna). This train will take you to the JW Marriott Hotel (Metro Center Station) or to the Ronald Reagan Building & International Trade Center (Federal Triangle Station). By Taxi: Taxicabs are available at the exits of each terminal. A ride from the airport to the hotel takes approximately 15 to 30 minutes, depending on time of day and traffic, and costs approximately $16. By Bus: Super Shuttle offers service from DCA to downtown Washington for a cost of $12 one-way. However, this is a shared-ride van service, so the shuttle may make several stops before reaching your final destination. When flying into Reagan National we suggest traveling by cab or by Metro. Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)By Metro: The Washington Flyer Coach provides a convenient link between Washington Dulles International Airport and the West Falls Church Metro station. To travel using this service, purchase a ticket ($8 one way; $14 round trip) from the Ground Transportation Center's ticket podium located inside the vestibule at Arrivals Level Door 4. For your return home, please note that there are no ticketing facilities located at the West Falls Church Metro Station– passengers boarding there without a ticket must purchase their tickets upon arrival at the Airport. When you arrive at the West Falls Church Metro station, purchase a Metrorail fare card and take the Orange line in the direction of New Carrollton. This train will take you to the JW Marriott Hotel (Metro Center Station) or to the Ronald Reagan Building & International Trade Center (Federal Triangle Station). By Taxi: Taxicabs are available at the exits of each terminal. Taxi service from the airport to downtown D.C. is approximately $45. By Bus: Super Shuttle provides inexpensive ($25 one-way) door-to-door service from the airport to downtown Washington. This is a shared-ride van service, so the shuttle may make several stops before reaching your final destination. Go to the Ground Transportation desk in the baggage claim area to purchase a ticket. Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI)By Train: Amtrak and MARC trains provide service to the BWI Rail Station, where free shuttles serve the airport terminal. From the BWI Rail Station, take the train to Washington’s Union Station. At Union Station, take Metro’s Red Line towards Shady Grove. This train will take you to the JW Marriott Hotel (Metro Center Station); you can also transfer to the Orange or Blue line and go one stop to the Ronald Reagan Building & International Trade Center (Federal Triangle Station). By Taxi: Taxicabs are available just outside of the baggage claim area of the Lower Level of the BWI Airport Terminal. Taxi service from the airport to downtown D.C. is approximately $60. By Bus: Super Shuttle provides inexpensive ($31 one-way) door-to-door service from the airport to downtown Washington. This is a shared-ride van service, so the shuttle may make several stops before reaching your final destination. Go to the Ground Transportation desk in the baggage claim area to purchase a ticket. Unlimited in/out privileges are available for hotel guests only. If you are not a guest at the hotel, you will be charged for each time you enter and exit the garage. Parking is available at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. Entrances to the parking garage are located on 14th Street and on Pennsylvania Avenue. Guests and attendees should allow extra time for parking, as all guests and vehicles are screened upon entry. There is no overnight parking for guests. The cost for parking is $18 per day.
