Mr. Everson has led the IRS through many transformations in the last three years. The agency has cracked down on offshore tax avoidance schemes, misuse of charitable organizations and other tax scams. A former deputy director at the Office of Management and Budget, Everson also speaks of his commitment to improving management and program performance, and the challenges IRS faces in its electronic fraud detection system and its private debt collection initiative.

Congressman Cooper believes the American people do not have a full understanding of the actual size of the federal budget deficit, and he is dedicated to shining a light on the subject. Cooper discusses his work to promote more accurate measures of the deficit along with the federal government’s use of cash accounting, which he contends produces a rosier picture than reality.

Mr. Dodaro is responsible for assisting the Comptroller General in leading the senior governmental audit organization in the United States, the Government Accountability Office. In that capacity, he oversees audits and evaluations that identify federal programs and operations that are high risk due to their vulnerabilities to fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement. Hear Mr. Dodaro discuss areas throughout government that are in need of broad-based transformation to address major economy, efficiency, or effectiveness challenges and GAO’s ideas for addressing these areas.
