If you should have questions or concerns regarding your presentation, please e-mail us at speakers@agacgfm.org, or call us at 800.242.7211, ext. 310 (Ada) or ext. 322 (Julie).

  • Please send us your updates

Have you changed your address, co-presenters, or e-mail address?

If so, please send all updates to us immediately at speakers@agacgfm.org.

Travel Guidelines

Please refer to the Hotel & Travel section of the website. We urge you to make your hotel reservations early, to ensure a room at the conference headquarters hotel. Please be sure to make your airline and travel arrangements early to take advantage of reduced fares.

Upon arrival at the hotel, please be sure to stop by the AGA Registration Desk to pick up your registration packet, name badge and speaker ribbon.

Speaker Registration

All speakers are required to register for the conference. This ensures that we have a name badge for you upon arrival and that we have all the correct contact information for you. Speakers that do not choose to participate in the conference beyond their presentation will not be required to pay a registration fee. However, speakers that wish to register and earn CPE are invited to register to attend the conference at the AGA member rate. You have two options when registering for this year's conference:

1. Daily Registration - Free of Charge

Speakers receive a complimentary registration on the day of their presentation only. This free registration allows you to attend the conference sessions and meal events on the day in which you are registered.

2. Full Conference Registration – $775

Speakers may register for the entire conference by paying the standard registration fee. This gives you the opportunity to participate in all conference events and the ability to earn up to 25 CPE hours.

Speakers will receive a special Speaker Registration Form from AGA’s meetings department.

Speaker Ready Room

To ensure the success of your presentation, drop by the Speaker Ready Room at least one hour before your session begins. This will allow you time to rehearse and finalize your presentation and to make last minute changes. The Speaker Ready Room will house all the equipment you need to rehearse your presentation including a laptop computer, LCD Projector, and screen.

The location and hours of the speaker ready room will be posted on this page approximately one month before the conference.

Audio VIsual Equipment

All conference sessions will be provided with the following a/v equipment automatically:
  • Standing Lectern with a Wired Microphone

  • Laptop Computer with a 3¼ disk drive and CD Rom drive

  • LCD Projector and Screen (For Use with PowerPoint)

  • Wireless Mouse (For Use with PowerPoint)

If you need additional audio/visual equipment, such as a wireless lavaliere/lapel microphone, table microphone (for panels), laser pointer, etc. you may request it from AGA approximately 60 days before the conference begins (see below). AGA does not supply Internet connections, special chairs/seating or set designs for conference sessions.

Speakers will receive an Audio/Visual Request Form to confirm their AV needs and request additional equipment (if necessary) closer to the conference.

Shipping Information

Speakers are encouraged to develop handouts for their session. PowerPoint presentations will be posted on AGA’s website for conference attendees to view and print before the conference. Only registered attendees will be given the link to view this information. Speakers that wish to provide a hard copy of their handout material are responsible for duplicating handouts at their own cost.

Conference speakers will receive instructions for shipping handout materials, closer to the conference.

AGA Educational Sessions Policies & Procedures

Non-Commercial Content Policy

The conference is an educational forum attended by professionals expecting to learn valuable information that will enhance their development and interests about specific subjects and areas. The conference may not be employed as a platform for commercial sales, self-promotion or as a forum to criticize competitors. Presenters are expected to share information in an educational and non commercial manner that is not specific to a product or service. Presenters also must refrain from overt statements, harsh language, or pointed humor that disparages the rightful dignity and social equity of any individual or group.

Educational Value & Program Diversity

The Technical Committee encourages proposals from different organizations representing diverse points of view. The committee requests that companies submit their best proposals and limit the number of proposals submitted to three. The committee will limit the number of proposals and/or speakers accepted from any one organization.

Proposals are selected on the basis of information submitted. Presenters, session titles, and content are expected to correspond to the proposal. Any speaker substitutions, deletions, or additions must be approved by AGA. AGA reserves the right to edit accepted presentations for publication on the Association website and in the Conference Program.

Speaker Registration & Honorarium

AGA is a non-profit organization operating on a limited budget to bring fine quality education to its members. As such, honorarium is not customarily paid to speakers for their participation. Speakers are also responsible for their own hotel and travel expenses.

Speakers that do not choose to participate in the conference beyond their presentation will not be required to pay a registration fee. However, speakers that wish to attend the conference and earn CPE are invited to register at the AGA member rate.
