AGA Partnership for Intergovernmental Management and Accountability—Leveraging Single Audits Work Group

AGA’s Partnership for Intergovernmental Management and Accountability created this work group to determine how all levels of government can work smarter to leverage audit resources, including the Single Audit Act Amendments of 1996 and the Improper Payments Act of 2002, while improving the usefulness of both acts to improve program integrity and reduce improper payments. This is a brainstorming session to fine-tune operating principles and identify projects that will do the most to advance the work groups goals. All conference attendees are welcome to attend.

AGA Partnership for Intergovernmental Management and Accountability—A-87 Work Group

AGA’s Partnership for Intergovernmental Management and Accountability has charged this work group with reviewing principles used by the various levels of government in sharing the cost of carrying out more than $500 billion in annual federal awards. The work group reviews the results of a nationwide survey designed to help the work group compile the raw data needed to identify key issues, verify purported problems and develop potential approaches to improving the federal cost reimbursement process, as provided for in of 2 CFR, Part 225, Cost Principles for State, Local and Tribal Governments (OMB Circular A-87). All conference attendees are welcome to attend.

We explored what it would take to tag the data in the Statement of Net Assets and Statement of Activities for FY06 contained in the Oregon Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.

A band of universities gained investment from the Carnegie Foundation in 2005 to design and develop a financial system, using open source protocols, to meet the specific accounting needs of colleges and universities.
