Service Efforts and Accomplishments (SEA) Program
Launched January 2003 with grant support
provided by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation of New York City
The
mission of AGA's Certificate of Achievement in Service Efforts
and Accomplishments (SEA) Report Review Program is to stimulate
and help state and local governments prepare valuable and
comprehensive SEA reports that inform the public, elected
officials and management about their governments efficient and
effective use of taxpayer dollars. To that end, the program
reviews reports and provides recommendations to strengthen the
reports ability to provide useful information and to recognize
through an award structure, those governments that prepare
exemplary reports.
AGA, Accenture Join Forces to Continue SEA Program
AGA and Accenture are
pleased to announce a partnership involving the Certificate
of Achievement in Service Efforts and Accomplishments (SEA)
Report Review program. Accenture will support the objectives
of the SEA Program by assuming the role of technical
consultant for the awards program and assist AGA in
developing a strategy to jointly recruit and encourage
additional participants into the program. The partnership
began Jan. 1, 2010. We are excited about this collaborative effort
and look forward to building our program with our partner.

"These
awards (King County Aims High and King County Department
of Natural Resources and Parks) confirm that we are on
the right track in demonstrating accountability and
transparency in government," said King County Executive
Ron Sims. "Performance measures are one of the best
tools government has for assessing our effectiveness in
delivering vital public services." |
