AGA Room Rate:  $103 (Plus Tax)

Reservation Deadline:  Friday, August 31, 2007 – Hotel rooms are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis until the hotel is sold out.  Make your reservations early!

AGA has a block of rooms reserved at the Embassy Suites for conference attendees.  The hotel is located 15 miles north of Sky Harbor International Airport and is Embassy Suites’ only golf resort in the country.  Enjoy many hotel amenities including a two room suite, complimentary full cooked-to-order breakfast, manager’s evening reception, fitness center, pool, and the Stonecreek golf course located on property. 

The special room rate is $103 (plus tax) per night for single or double occupancy.  This rate is available until Friday, August 31, 2007, or until the room block sells out. Reservations received after August 31, or after the room block has been filled, will be made on a space-available basis, and may be subject to higher rates.  To make reservations call the Embassy Suites at 602.765.5800 and be sure to mention you are attending the “AGA PMC.” 

The Embassy Suites requires a credit card for confirming reservations.  A check or money order in the amount of one night’s stay ($103 single/double) may also be used to guarantee a room. 

Please note cancellation of guest rooms must be made 48 hours prior to the day of arrival.

Air Travel

Phoenix is served by Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) located approximately 20 minutes from the conference hotel.  Sky Harbor is served by 20 major air carriers including two major low-fare carriers (Southwest and US Airways). 

You have the choice of using your own travel agent or an Internet travel service.  There are many websites available allowing you to search for and purchase airline tickets online such as Expedia, Orbitz and Travelocity.

Ground Transportation

Taxi service from Sky Harbor ranges from $30 to $35 depending on the provider. 

Shuttle service is also offered from the airport to the Embassy Suites.  Please note shuttles may make other stops at businesses or hotels before arriving at the hotel.  Allow for adequate time when booking your trip either to the hotel or back to the airport accordingly.

Golf

Phoenix is known as one of the top golf destinations in the country.  Enjoy Stonecreek Golf Club adjacent to the hotel.  Designed by Arthur Hills & Associates, Stonecreek offers a links-style course with beautiful vistas of the surrounding mountains.  The course offers reduced rates for guests staying at the conference hotel.

Explore Phoenix

The PMC will provide top-notch education and networking events for attendees.  AGA encourages you to come before or stay after the conference to enjoy all the Phoenix area has to offer.  In additional to golf, you can enjoy dining and shopping with several restaurants and Paradise Valley Mall just two blocks away.  The Embassy Suites also offers a complimentary shuttle service within 5 miles of the hotel. 

Consider a visit to Camelback Mountain, the city’s most famous landmark, or visit Echo Canyon.  Cool off with a trip to Arizona’s Salt River Tubing and Recreation.  Relax at one of the areas outstanding spas including two of the top ten in the country, The Phoenician and the Arizona Biltmore.  You can also explore museums ranging from the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art to the Phoenix Museum of History showcasing the city’s pioneer days. 

If you have time to explore outside Phoenix, the south rim of the Grand Canyon is a five hour drive to the north.  Daily flights are available or take the Grand Canyon Railway.  Two hours from Phoenix is Sedona with its famed red-rock formations where you can enjoy hiking, golf, dining, spas and shopping.

Weather & Dress

Business casual attire is appropriate for all conference activities.  Remember meeting room temperatures vary and we recommend you bring a sweater or jacked to sessions.  The area average high is 90° and the average low is 70° in late September so please plan accordingly.
