Reservation Deadline: Monday, October 2, 2006 – Hotel rooms are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis until the hotel is sold out. Make your reservations early! AGA has a block of rooms reserved at the Renaissance Schaumburg for conference attendees. The Renaissance is located just northwest of Chicago off Interstate 90. This property opens in July of 2006 and will be the showpiece of Schaumburg bringing commerce and tourism to area. Hotel guests are given complimentary access to the Schaumburg Trolley System to see area attractions such as Woodfield Mall and local restaurants. The special room rate is $136 (plus tax) per night for single or double occupancy. This rate is available until Monday, October 2, 2006, or until the room block sells out. Reservations received after October 2, or after the room block has been filled, will be made on a space-available basis, and may be subject to higher rates. To make reservations call the Renaissance Schaumburg at 800.266.9432 and be sure to mention you are attending the “AGA PMC.” The Renaissance requires a credit card for confirming reservations. A check or money order in the amount of one night’s stay ($136 single/double) may also be used to guarantee a room. Please note Guests can cancel up until 4:00pm on the day of arrival. Schaumburg, IL and the Chicago are served by two airports: Midway International Airport (MDW) and Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD). O’Hare is closest to the Renaissance and accommodates over 165,000 passengers daily. Surrounded by suburban areas, O’Hare is located approximately 15 minutes from the hotel and Schaumburg with nearly 50 commercial, commuter and cargo airlines. Three domestic terminals link to allow easy accessibility for passengers, and the Airport Transit system offers the fasts transfer between domestic terminals, the International Terminal, and economy parking lots. You have the choice of using your own travel agent or an Internet travel service. There are many websites available allowing you to search for and purchase airline tickets online such as Expedia, Orbitz and Travelocity. Ground TransportationTaxi service from O’Hare range from $28 to $38 depending the provider. American Taxi provides suburban rates from O’Hare Airport listed at $28 and from Midway at $56. There are also shuttle services offered from O’Hare to Schaumburg. Please note these shuttles may make other stops at businesses or hotels before arriving at the Renaissance. Please allow for adequate time when booking your trip either to the hotel or back to the airport accordingly.
