Air Travel

Located halfway between the cities of Seattle and Tacoma, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (airport code: SEA) is known locally as "Sea-Tac." Recent concourse and terminal renovations make Sea-Tac a good place to catch an airplane and to view the more than 100 works of art scattered throughout the facility.

The average travel time from the airport to Downtown Seattle will be between 20–30 minutes, depending on traffic.

You have the choice of using your own travel agent or an Internet travel service. There are many websites available allowing you to search for and purchase airline tickets online such as Expedia, Orbitz and Travelocity.

Downtown Airporter by Gray Line serves the Airport outside Door 00 on the Baggage Claim (lower) level. Departs twice an hour from 5:30 a.m. – 11 p.m., with service to and from major downtown Seattle hotels.

Car Rental

Nine rental car companies have information counters in the Baggage Claim area, and five have car pick-up and drop-off at the airport on the first floor of the garage across from the Main Terminal.

Weather and Dress

Business attire is appropriate for all conference activities. Remember meeting room temperatures vary and we recommend you bring a sweater or jacket to the session. The Seattle area average temperature in October is 55° so please plan accordingly.
