AGA has reserved a block of rooms at the Embassy Suites Hotel at BWI Airport for PMC attendees. This location is only one and a half miles from the main terminal building at Baltimore/Washington International Airport. So when you step off your flight, it will only be a matter of minutes until you're relaxing in the luxurious hotel. Enjoy the complimentary shuttle from 4 a.m. to 1 a.m. daily to the airport, Amtrak station, Marc Train and light rail station—available upon request. The hotel is close to Downtown Baltimore and all its attractions, such as:

Attendees can rely on the area's taxi and shuttle services to get to the conference. Please refer to the information below when planning your trip.

The taxi stand is located just outside of the baggage claim area of the Lower Level of the BWI Marshall terminal. Please note that this service is available from BWI Marshall only. For cab service to BWI Marshall, please consult your local cab company. BWI Marshall taxicabs are prohibited from charging flat rates. Car Rental

BWI Marshall Airport has opened a spacious, rental car facility providing one-stop rental car shopping for our customers. The facility is located at Stoney Run Road and New Ridge Road. Free shuttle service carries customers to and from the airport approximately every 10 minutes. Passengers arriving on flights should take the free shuttle from the lower level terminal for a 10-minute ride to the new facility. When returning a vehicle, look for highway directional signs to the facility. The car rental facility is located at 7432 New Ridge Road, Hanover, MD 21076.

Explore Baltimore

Baltimore's charm lies in its neighborhoods. While stellar downtown attractions such as the National Aquarium and Camden Yards draw torrents of tourists each year, much of the city's character can be found outside the Inner Harbor. Scores of Baltimore's trademark narrow redbrick row houses with white marble steps line the city's East and West sides. Some neighborhood streets are still made of cobblestone, and grand churches and museums and towering, glassy high-rise buildings fill out the growing skyline.

After World War II, as manufacturing jobs dried up and its populace moved to the suburbs, Baltimore declined. But in the 1970s real-estate development surged in some areas, and new arts and cultural events such as the city's ethnic festivals began to spring up. Homesteaders started moving into once-abandoned row houses, and city tourism grew dramatically when the National Aquarium opened in the early 1980s. Further development of the Inner Harbor, including Oriole Park at Camden Yards and M&T Bank Stadium, continued to fuel the city's resurgence.

Now the city's blue-collar past mixes with present urban-professional revitalization. Industrial waterfront properties are giving way to high-end condos, and corner bars formerly dominated by National Bohemian beer—once made in the city—are adding microbrews to their beverage lists. And with more and more retail stores replacing old, run-down buildings and parking lots, Baltimore is one of the nation's up-and-coming cities.

Weather and Dress

Business attire is appropriate for all conference activities.

Baltimore in the fall is beautiful! You will find the average temperature in Baltimore to be in the mid-70s during the day and mid-50s at night. Bring a sweater if you are planning to stroll along the water’s end in the Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. Temperatures may vary from day to day so please dress accordingly. As a reminder, meeting rooms have a tendency to be cool. For your comfort, we recommend you bring a light sweater or jacket to the conference.
