Attend a Special Open
Enrollment Session of AGA's New Single Audit Course
(A-133)
In June 2007, the Audit Committee
of the President's Council on Integrity and Efficiency (PCIE) and
the Executive Council on Integrity and Efficiency
(ECIE) issued a report to OMB on the results of
its National Single Audit Sampling Project. After reviewing a
statistical sample of 208 Single Audits, they found that more than half
of the reports in the sample were either unacceptable or “of
limited reliability.” The report made the following
recommendations:
- Revise and improve single audit criteria,
standards and guidance.
- Establish minimum standards for
comprehensive training on performing single audits.
- Review and enhance the processes to address
unacceptable audits.
AGA has developed a course that addresses the
inadequacies found in the report and is offering an opportunity to sign
up today. We are hosting two special open enrollment sessions on March
18–19 and 20–21, 2008. We invite individuals and groups to
attend these sessions. Tuition for this program is $500 for members and
$625 for nonmembers. You will earn 16 hours of CPE upon completion of
this program. To learn more about this opportunity, contact Julie Sanders at 800.AGA.7211
ext. 309.

Take a look at our 5 Cs to training:
Content
AGA-sponsored courses are developed and taught by experts in
their fields of study. Each class is evaluated and recommended updates
are made to provide the most current and relevant content available.
Cost
Most of our courses are one-day courses and are priced at $3,750 for
up to 20 participants. The tuition includes class materials, instructor
compensation, travel and lodging. This equates to 8 CPEs for just $185
per participant. Please note 20 is the recommended class size to
maximize instructor interactions. We are able to increase this number
based on your organization’s needs.
Convenience
We bring the training to you. This means no employee travel and
you select the time and location of training.
Customization
If your organization has a specific need or is interested in
other training areas, we can still help. AGA can make modifications to
an existing program or design a course best suited to your staff
needs.
Collaboration
We understand you may not have a training room or enough
employees to conduct your own training session. AGA can also coordinate
sessions with other organizations.
To learn more about these courses or discuss
your training needs, please contact Joe Jozefczyk, AGA director of
Education at 800.AGA.7211, ext.307.
