AGA’s National Leadership Conference a Big Success!
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

“First Responders: Financial Leadership in an Era of Crisis”

More than 400 people participated last week in AGA’s Second Annual National Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C. Many attendees said they were pleased to hear just how much is being done behind the scenes by the first responders in this time of crisis.

Everyone from federal leaders to state auditors to city mayors spoke at the conference, which drew participants  from all levels of government, the private sector and academia. All of the speakers had a common message—much needs to be done to keep citizens safe, it is expensive and the job will never be finished. AGA’s Community Service Raffle is Back
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

AGA will once again hold its community service raffle at this year’s Professional Development Conference in Washington, D.C.  Did you know that we have raised more than $36,400 during the last four PDCs? Our success is a direct result of many chapters providing wonderful prizes and conference attendees who generously gave—time and time again!

Chairperson of this year’s raffle, Renee Gilman, CGFM, will soon be sending out letters to all chapters requesting donations. So, get ready! Letters go out in March, with prizes to be sent to Washington, D.C. in time for the PDC on June 27. As we have done before, proceeds from the raffle will be divided between the National Community Service Fund and a nationally recognized charity selected by the raffle participants. Contact Gilman at Renee.Gilman@dla.mil with any questions you may have.
