CGFM Success for Northern Virginia Chapter Less than a year later, 11 Northern Virginia Chapter members and one member of both Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia Chapters can be proud of earning their CGFM. Among the group is Northern Virginia Chapter President Dennis Green. Davis himself has passed two of the three examinations, with plans to pass the third before the Professional Development Conference & Exposition in June. Green figured he should set an example. He thought, “If I’m going to be president, I’d better get the CGFM certificate,” he said. Read more. Take the CGFM Examinations Before the PDC This course is designed as a supplement to previous preparation for the CGFM Examinations, so this is a perfect opportunity for those individuals who have already attended GFM training courses or have been preparing by using the CGFM Study Guides. AGA Procuring Audit Services in Government: A Practical Guide to Making the Right Decision—Government program and procurement officials routinely procure services to support agency missions and operations. In the case of audits, it is important that acquisition decisions be informed by a clear understanding of the distinction between audits and other evaluative services. This research paper, which is written as a guide, seeks to clarify for the non-auditor exactly what an audit entails, the professional standards followed, who can perform an audit, the value derived from an audit, and the standards and oversight to which government auditors and independent public accountants (hereafter referred to as CPA firms) are subject to when performing government audits. Read the report. Contact Susan Fritzlen for paper copies of these reports. AGA's Emerging Leaders Featured on
