From the
National Office
AGA’s
Education and CGFM Departments are pleased to welcome Julie Sanders
to the National Office staff as Education Development Manager. In her new
position, Julie is marketing AGA’s existing education programs and helping
develop new AGA-sponsored training courses. She is also assisting the CGFM
Department by coordinating its series of government financial management
courses, which are often used as preparation for the three CGFM Examinations.
Julie comes to AGA from the Graduate School, USDA, an AGA Corporate Partner,
where she coordinated all the financial management training in the Metropolitan
Region as a customer account manager. She became familiar with AGA while at the
Graduate School and attended several AGA conferences.
Julie said she is enjoying her work at AGA. “It’s very different from what
I’m used to. The position I had before was already established and it was
routine. This one is so new and fresh. I’m really enjoying being on the ground
floor and building AGA’s education program.”
Julie lives in Prince Georges County, MD, and has two sports-loving sons,
Khalil and Khari. While her sons are on the playing field, Julie is on the
sidelines coaching cheerleading for a group of 7- to 10-year-old girls. Julie
can be reached at jsanders@agacgfm.org
or 800.AGA.7211, ext. 309. Welcome Julie!
