PDC Hotel Update
The Orlando World Center Marriott has agreed to offer additional
discounted rooms to accommodate PDC attendees. This room rate
is $169 (plus tax) per night for single or double
occupancy. As the hotel begins to sell out these rooms,
reservations will be made on a space-available basis and may be subject
to higher rates. To make reservations, call the Orlando World
Center Marriott Center at 800. 228.9290. Be sure to mention that
you are attending the "AGA PDC."
IMPORTANT: If you had a
reservation at AGA’s overflow hotel, the SpringHill Suites
Marriott Village—Lake Buena Vista, under the AGA room block, your
reservation was automatically moved the conference hotel for the same
$149 rate.
Because we were able to accommodate everyone
staying there, we have canceled our block at the SpringHill
Suites. Thus, the SpringHill Suites will not accept any more
reservations at a discounted rate of $149 and shuttle service
will NOT be provided to the conference hotel.
If you booked a room at another hotel, or
reserved a room at the SpringHill Suites outside our block (a rate less
than $149), you will need to make arrangements for your own
transportation to and from the Orlando World Center Marriott. If you
have any questions, please contact, Ada Phillips.
Bringing Your Family
to PDC?
> Child Care
The resort does not have a child care facility. However,
in-room babysitting services can be arranged through the concierge
desk. Service is provided by All About Kids, a company that provides
licensed, bonded babysitters who will care for your children in your
hotel room. The fee is $12 per hour for one child and $1 for each
additional child. In addition, you will need to pay parking ($9/day)
for the babysitter. Child care is available on a limited basis; advance
reservations are encouraged. Please make payments directly to your
sitter. Traveler’s checks or cash only; gratuity is
appreciated.
> Poolside Activities for Kids
Kids of all ages will love the Orlando World Center
Marriott’s Activities Center. In fact, many favor a day of
activities onsite at the resort over the long lines and characters in
the parks! The center has scheduled activities 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for
poolside fun. Younger kids will enjoy activities like sand castle
building, face painting or hoola hooping. And teens will enjoy a
manicure, volleyball or basketball. And everyone enjoys the waterslide
and collection of six pools and spas.
From 4 – 11 p.m., parents may bring children to the
center to play with puzzles and games; however, hotel supervision is
not available. The activity schedule varies by season. The current
schedule will be available at the AGA Registration Desk and the
hotel’s concierge desk.
