"Everybody
can be great... because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a
college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb
agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by
love."
- Martin Luther King, Jr.
Since 1950, the Journal
of Government Financial Management has been providing valuable,
in-depth information to decision-makers at all levels of government. A
valuable research and information source, the
Journal is published quarterly by
the Association of Government Accountants (AGA). It is distributed to
its membership of government financial managers as well as countless
libraries across the nation and abroad.
TOPICS is designed
to give national exposure to AGA chapter events, community service
projects and member accomplishments while offering the most up-to-date
Association news. AGA welcomes the submission of articles and
photographs.
TOPICS is released every other Monday morning by e-mail. Each issue
will focus on an area of Association interest, including the CGFM
Program, Membership, Conferences, Performance & Accountability, etc.
AGA Today
is a free, bi-weekly news briefing. The publication acts as a
clearinghouse for current government financial management information.
The information is pooled from a dozen or more reputable sources in the
industry. We take the most significant pieces of information, and add it
under one umbrella so that the busy professional can open the newsletter
and gather everything that he or she needs to be informed. We offer CPE
opportunities, GAO testimony, new web links, AGA updates and the latest
news. Welcome to the excitement!
