AGA at Ball State University

On November 29, 2018 AGA members Melissa Jacobs, Shawn McCracken, Amy Hole, Dani Powers and Kim Smith attended a recruiting and information sharing session at Ball State University. Members shared information regarding careers in the federal government with an emphasis on DFAS and USAFMCOM then tied in AGA's role.  Following the event 33 students enrolled as AGA members.

Biggest Loser Competition

The 2019 AGA/ASMC/DFAS Wellness Council Biggest Loser Challenge is a team competition to motivate individuals who want to lose a few pounds. Prizes will be awarded to individuals who have the highest percentage of weight loss.  The first weigh-in will be held the week of February 11th.

AGA Supports 'Free Application for Federal Student Aid' Sunday

AGA is seeking volunteers to assist with registration tables, supervise seating, answer financial aid questions, etc. at the yearly Federal Student Aid Support day on Sunday, February 24th.  Please sign up by Wednesday, February 20th if you are interested.  It's a great way to help students earn financial aid in order to attend college!

AGA Speed Mentoring

Due to potential inclement weather on Wednesday, January 30th, the AGA Speed Mentoring event has been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 27, 2019. 

 

This is an AGA exclusive members’ only event that you don’t want to miss! Please join us for Speed Mentoring, where you’ll receive lots of pro-tips and advice from GS-15 senior managers. AGA members will experience a rotation of mentors’ talks with question and answer sessions. Seats are limited to the first 50 AGA members to RSVP. Contact LaTrice Akers via email at latrice.r.akers.civ@mail.mil by 10 AM on Friday, February 22nd to reserve your seat!

What:  AGA Social Event at Punch Bowl Indianapolis

When: 3/16/19 from 3-6pm

Why: Fun event that will include food, drinks, games and socializing with members

Who:  AGA members (each member can bring 1 guest)

Cost: $20/member & $30/non-member
