Improper payments have been a persistent challenge for the public sector. Payments during COVID-19 were particularly vulnerable. While not all organizations can harness and use their data, some have increasingly seen the importance of adopting a data-oriented mindset. Moreover, as the exploration of emerging technology like Machine Learning, blockchain and AI accelerates, governments and industry alike are seeing how the convergence of data and emerging technologies can balance speed with accuracy to reduce improper payments and achieve friction-less payments. The discussion will focus on these best practices and examine use cases that improve payment integrity.
