Training & Events

AGA and its chapters offer national and local training and events to meet the continuing professional education (CPE) needs of members and the greater government financial management community. The AGA San Francisco Chapter continues its practice of providing high quality low-cost training sessions for the Bay Area accounting community. We have arranged the following 8-hour trainings:

March 2, 2017: Developing Findings
June 27, 2017: Ethics and Regulatory Review
August 29, 2017: Writing Effective Audit Reports
January 11, 2018: Standards and Practices for Implementing Enterprise Risk Management

Members and guests can also join AGA national chapter in person or virtually for networking and educational opportunities including national eventswebinars and group training optionsView the events calendar to see the full suite of events we offer.
 

  • National Training Events: Join your peers at multiple large-scale national events each year, including our Professional Development Training event each summer, which offers 24 CPEs via sessions that cover every aspect of government financial management, and our more focused events that can cater to specific needs, such as CFO-CIO working relationships and training on internal controls and fraud prevention.
  • Webinars: Individuals can learn new skills for CPEs, while groups can host an unlimited number of people, each of whom receive CPEs.
  • Group training: You supply the room; we provide the instructor and materials. (Please contact the San Francisco Chapter for arranging a group training.)
