The Florida PALM Project is focused on the replacement of the State’s outdated accounting and cash management systems, with the goals to:

  • Reduce the state’s risk exposure by harnessing modern financial management technology built on the premises of scalability, flexibility, and maintainability
  • Improve state and agency specific decision making by capturing a consistent and an expandable set of data
  • Improve the state’s financial management capabilities to enable more accurate oversight of budget and cash demands today and in the future
  • Improve productivity, reduce operational complexity and increase internal controls by enabling standardization and automation of business processes within and between DFS and agencies

Mrs. Angie Robertson will present an update on the status of the Project, highlighting accomplishments of the Project to date through partnership and collaboration with a variety of stakeholders, and previewing upcoming key activities for the Project.

Speaker Bio
Angie Robertson began her 20-year career in service to the State of Florida in 1993 after receiving her Accounting degree and later her MBA from Florida State University. A Certified Public Accountant in the State of Florida, Mrs. Robertson’s career has been solidly rooted in State government finance and administration functions, including accounting systems implementation and support. She has served in management and executive leadership positions with several State agencies including the Department of Children and Families, the Agency for Workforce Innovation, the Department of Economic Opportunity, and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. From 1998 – 2002, during a brief time away from State government service, Ms. Robertson worked with the City of Orlando and the Orlando Utilities Commission in their ERP implementation and support efforts. Angie Robertson is currently the Business and Process Standardization Manager with the Florida PALM Project, one of four Tracks that support the multi-year Florida PALM Project which is responsible for planning and implementing one of the largest ERP initiatives in the nation.
