Each year the AGA recognizes financial management professional and chapters whose visionary leadership, outstanding accomplishments, and exceptional service have significantly advanced our profession, strengthened our Association, and improved our community.

The AGA DC Chapter Awards Committee assists in ensuring DC is well represented and recognized at the following two national events:

National Leadership Training (NLT) AwardsThe intent of these awards is to recognize individuals (both AGA members and non-members) who have made significant contributions to the government financial management profession. These awards are presented at the National Leadership Training held annually in February in Washington, DC.

The nomination period is usually between September 1 and November 15.  Full award categories, descriptions & eligibility criteria can be found here.

Professional Leadership Training (PDT) Awards – The intent of these awards are to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to AGA. There are two opportunities for PDT Awards:

  • Chapter recognition at the DC Chapter Awards Gala held locally in the spring. All local chapter awardees are submitted by the DC Chapter Awards Committee to AGA for national award consideration.
  • National recognition at the Professional Development Training held annually in the summer.  

The nomination period is usually between December 1st and March 5th. Full award categories, descriptions & eligibility criteria can be found here.
