AGA DC Chapter Awards

 

Each year the AGA recognizes financial management professionals and chapters whose visionary leadership, outstanding accomplishments, and exceptional service have significantly advanced our profession, strengthened our Association, and improved our community. The AGA DC Chapter Awards Committee assists in ensuring the DC Chapter is well represented and recognized at the following events:

  • National Leadership Training (NLT) Awards – The intent of these awards is to recognize individuals (both AGA members and non-members) who have made significant contributions to the government financial management profession. All completed application forms are submitted to National for consideration; however, only one receives DC Chapter sponsorship.

The nomination period is usually between September 1 and November 1. Full award categories, descriptions & eligibility criteria can be found here. These awards are presented at the National Leadership Training held annually in February in Washington, DC.

  • Professional Leadership Training (PDT) Awards – The intent of these awards are to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to AGA. All completed application forms are submitted to National for consideration; however, only one receives DC Chapter sponsorship.

     

    • The nomination period is usually between December 1 and February 28. Full award categories, descriptions & eligibility criteria can be found here. These awards are presented at the Professional Development Training held annually in the summer.

  • DC Chapter Awards  – Each year the DC Chapter hosts a members only awards gala where it recognizes members who have made significant contributions to the DC Chapter throughout the year. The DC Chapter Award Committee and the Chapter President select individuals who have been nominated by DC Chapter members to be recognized during this event. 

     

    • The nomination period is usually between December 1 and April 1. Full award categories, descriptions & eligibility criteria can be found here. The Awards Gala is usually held in May in Washington, DC.
