Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) Module 2 Training provided by AGA DC Chapter

AGA DC CGFM Training - Module 2: Wednesday February 28 – Friday March 2, 2018

AGA DC Chapter courses are designed to meet the practical and professional development needs of financial managers at every level of government. They also provide the advanced knowledge to instill the confidence you need in order to sit for the CGFM examinations.

We are thrilled to offer this CGFM training class focused on preparing attendees for Examination 2 Governmental Accounting, Financial Reporting and Budgeting. This course looks at the general principles of governmental financial accounting and performance reporting, and budgeting, as well as the unique aspects of both federal and state and local financial accounting and reporting. Worth 24 CPE hours, this is a three-day course.

The program's key eligibility criteria are:

  • Be an active member of National AGA and the D.C. chapter of AGA.
  • Provide evidence of application to the CGFM program (Eligibility letter)
  • Obtain your supervisor's approval (where applicable)
  • Commit to attending all three days of training.
  • Commit to take the CGFM Module 2 examination within one year of the training.

In continuing our efforts to support DC Chapter members we will pay for half of the cost for this three day course. The class participant will be required to pay $150 which is due seven days after your application is received and accepted. This price includes all instructor fees and expenses, and the applicable CGFM study guide for each participant.  You are expected to attend all three days of classes. If you do not attend all classes, you will forfeit your $150 fee. Further payment details will be emailed to the 30 participants at time of acceptance.  Note this does not include the cost of the exam.

Registration will open on Wednesday, January 10 at 9:00 AM, and will likely reach capacity that same day. Once capacity of 30 registrants is reached, there is a wait-list with a capacity of 15 registrants. Applicants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. This message is the only notification that will be distributed to membership prior to registration opening, so please mark your calendars and be at your computer ready to register!

A link to an application form will be provided upon receipt of your registration.  Initial registration is not complete until you return the application for acceptance. If your application is not received within five days of registering, your registration will be cancelled and provided to someone on the wait list.
