Prerequisites/Learning Objectives

Program Level: Intermediate
Prerequisite: This program is suitable for participants who are at least mid-level within an organization; have knowledge, skills and ability commensurate with that level; and have operational and/or supervisory responsibilities.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of the Summit, participants will be able to:

  • Identify strategies to address risks and challenges to integrate risk management functions across the entire organization
  • Develop an effective risk appetite statement and operationalizing/implementing them throughout the organization

Tracking process

AGA adheres to the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) standards for CPE programs, which requires an attendance verification process for all events. Please follow the steps below for your CPE credits.

  1. During the Workshop, letters will appear at unannounced times in the top LEFT-hand corner of the PowerPoint slide for each sessions. Please write down these letters when you see them - making sure that each sessions' IDs match their letters accordingly. NOTE: This is not a pop-up. 

  2. At the end of the Workshop, an email will be sent with a link to submit the letters for each attended sessions. 

  3. Participants who successfully complete this process will receive an email withintwo weeks post-training stating that the CPE certificate is ready to be downloaded. 

NOTE: You must be able to view the PowerPoint slides on a device to see the CPE letters.

Announcing the CPE letters to fellow attendees in the chat box during a session is against NASBA policy. Doing so may cause you to be ineligible to earn the CPE credit.

CGFM CPE Requirements and Certifications

CPE hours earned through AGA’s national training events can be used to fulfill CGFM CPE requirements.  


AGA is registered is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website at National Registry of CPE Sponsor ID: 104201.
