Advance preparation: None required
Delivery method: Group live and group Internet-based

Learning objective:  At the end of the training, participants will be able to:

  • Identify timely and valuable solutions on fraud detection, data analytics, improper payments and risks in the government finance profession.
  • Leverage what is already in place for FRM and ERM and adjust as appropriate. Learn the most efficient ways to gain buy-in and participation from program offices and use  risk assessments to help guide positive changes.
  • Gain an understanding of the current state of cybersecurity risks within federal, state and local government and learn to apply steps toward the cybersecurity of the nation.

Tracking process

AGA adheres to the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) standards for CPE programs, which require an attendance verification process for all training events. This process will be used for Project Management Institute's (PMI)® PDU programs as well.

Virtual participant (from your home/office)

During the virtual sessions, you will be required to click on a series of pop-up boxes that appear at random times. When these pop-up boxes appear you will have a short period of time to click on the “Continue Viewing” button. If you fail to click on these pop-ups, you will be ineligible to claim CPE credits for that session.

Announcing the pop-up alertness checks to fellow attendees in the chat box during a session is against NASBA policy and you may be ineligible to earn the CPE credit.

Session Recordings

Recordings for all sessions will be available at least two business weeks post training for all attendees to access. Please note: Recordings do not offer CPE and PDU credits. You must participate in the live streaming or in person to receive credits. Please refer to tracking process above for instructions.

CPE and PDU Retrieval

CPE certificates will be available to print online within two weeks after the training, at which time all attendees will receive an email stating that the CPE certificate is ready to download.

You may claim PDUs through your designated certification organization. For all Project Management Professional (PMP)®, Program Management Professional (PgMP)® and other PMI professional credentials, proceed directly through PMI’s Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR) Program to claim PDUs.

Should you have any questions, please contact education@agacgfm.org. If you need help accessing your AGA account log-in information, please contact agamembers@agacgfm.org or call 800.242.7211 ext: 301.
