Explore audit considerations in light of the pandemic. A GAO official will be on hand to provide information on CPE and Peer Review extensions and to highlight audit risks in this unique period. Representatives of a federal OIG and a state audit office will join us to speak on ways their audit organizations are addressing the related risks.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of the session, the participant will be able to:

  • Focus on the importance of following Government Auditing Standards despite challenges for the audit community created by the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Gather suggestions for “pivoting” in the pandemic to maintain high audit quality and address the most relevant and significant audit risks.
