Join us on an exciting road trip around the country on the Road to PDT 2020! On our way to Dallas, we'll be visiting several of our chapters and learning about the diverse sights, sounds, and tastes that make up our national membership. Buckle up and hang on - here we go!

Tell us about the Baltimore Chapter
The Baltimore Chapter is comprised of professionals from federal and state government agencies, local accounting firms and colleges. We are NASBA certified and hold monthly education sessions from September through our annual all day fraud training held in May. We also provide community service events and other fun activities throughout the year for our members.

What is a quirky fact about Baltimore that others probably don’t know?
America’s first umbrellas were produced in Baltimore in 1828. The company’s motto was “Born in Baltimore, raised everywhere.”

What tourist attractions are near your chapter?
Baltimore’s Inner Harbor and surrounding neighborhoods such as Little Italy, Fells Point, Canton and Federal Hill are popular tourist areas. Camden Yards, home of the Baltimore Orioles, is also a popular place to tour, as it was the first baseball stadium constructed as “retro-classic” and has been the model when other cities are building new baseball stadiums.

What restaurants would you recommend to an out-of-towner?
For seafood, the Rusty Scupper – it’s right on the water with a great view and the food is also delicious. Little Italy is also full of great restaurants – La Scala, Aldo’s, Amicci’s.

What’s the best road trip song for us to add to our playlist?
“Holiday Road” by Lindsey Buckingham.

What are you looking forward to most about PDT 2020?
Cowboy hats and boots, country music and Tex-Mex food!
