Join us on an exciting road trip around the country on the Road to PDT 2020! On our way to Dallas, we'll be visiting several of our chapters and learning about the diverse sights, sounds, and tastes that make up our national membership. Buckle up and hang on - here we go!

Tell us about the Northern Virginia Chapter
The Northern Virginia chapter is the second largest AGA chapter! We provide professional development, continuing education and networking opportunities to our members through our chapter meetings and training events throughout the year.

What is a quirky fact about Northern Virginia that others probably don’t know?
Out of the 20+ counties that Northern Virginia encompasses, Alexandria is the largest! Also, as of today, Virginia is celebrated as the oyster capital of the East Coast!

What tourist attractions are near your chapter?
The Northern Virginia area is a great central area for surrounding areas. Old Town in Alexandria is a historic district with a lot to see and just over the bridge is Washington, D.C.

What restaurants would you recommend to an out-of-towner?
Northern Virginia has many delicious food options. Head on down to The Wharf for great oysters or head on over to Pho 75, an Arlington staple for many years.

What’s the best road trip song for us to add to our playlist?
“West Virginia” by John Denver. Another fun fact, the song is written about western Virginia…not the state West Virginia.

What are you looking forward to most about PDT 2020?
Networking with other chapters from across the country to hear about their success and gain insight to keep the Northern Virginia chapter strong.
