Join us on an exciting road trip around the country on the Road to PDT 2020! On our way to Dallas, we'll be visiting several of our chapters and learning about the diverse sights, sounds, and tastes that make up our national membership. Buckle up and hang on - here we go!

Tell us about the Virginia Peninsula Chapter
The Virginia Penisula Chapter is 59 year old chapter in Southern Virginia that serves more than seven cities and covers a distance of over 60 miles, traveling 1-64 from Williamsburg to Virginia Beach. Many of our members come from federal government (U.S. Coast Guard Finance Center, NASA, GAO, Navy, Air Force, Army, DoDIG and DCAA) or local government.

What is a quirky fact about your city/area that others probably don’t know?
We're home to 18 military installations, all four branches of the military services and the Coast Guard. We're the only place in the country that hosts four different four-star commands, including the only NATO headquarters located on U.S. soil. Our area is also home to the largest navy base in the world, Norfolk Naval Station, and the longest continuously active air force base in the world, Langley Air Force.

What tourist attractions are near your chapter?
The historic triangle - Yorktown, Williamsburg and Jamestown and the VA Beach oceanfront

Where or what should we eat while we're in the Virginia Peninsula area?
Smithfield ham and Rappahannock Oysters

What’s your recommendation for best road trip song that we can add to our playlist?
Life is a Highway - Tom Cochrane
