Government Finance Case Challenge

AGA invites currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students to compete in a virtual Government Finance Case Challenge. Over two and a half weeks, student teams analyze data for an AGA–specified U.S. state, city or county government and develop a Citizen-Centric Report (CCR) for that location. Undergraduate teams compete against undergraduate teams; and graduate teams compete against graduate teams.

Submissions are judged by a panel of government finance experts, and finalists are invited to present their findings in a team-created video of a mock government meeting.

The case challenge experience taxes students' moral reasoning, raises their awareness of the importance of accountability, and opens doors to careers in government.
