Grants Management

Grants Management: Breaking Down the Complexities

Jan. 10 | 2–3:50 p.m. ET | 2 CPEs | FOS: MGMT

The idea that grants management is a profession or at least a specialty within the accounting profession, too often this is not understood by an organization's management. The complexities and risks associated with acceptance of federal funding are often not understood by decision makers. Thus, the webinar will focus on training participants to understand some risks and findings from audits and reports, what was done to resolve them, how it relates to GONE/Grant Acts, UGG - who is required to follow/understand terms, difference between a vendor and sub-recipient, and what types of resources and tools are available to help.

  • Douglas Godesky, Senior Grants Officer, Corporation for National and Community Service
  • Lucy Mungle, Senior Risk Management Analyst, U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs

Moderator: Bert Nuehring, CPA, partner, Crowe Horwath
