Shana Doiron
In appreciation of her long-standing contributions to the AGA Boston Chapter during the pandemic period, and the significant work she contributed this program year, I nominate Immediate Past President Shana Doiron as this year’s AGA Boston Chapter’s Volunteer of the Year.
Shana, an Engagement Director with CliftonLarsonAllen, has been a a long-standing member of the AGA Boston Chapter. Board members are the lifeblood of the chapter and Shana’s commitment to our group has demonstrated a significantly positive difference between us and other associations. She has exemplified the selfless dedication of committed AGA volunteer leaders that have empowered our chapter to both assist members and nonmembers to Advance government initiatives that preserve the public trust, to Grow in their expertise, and Accelerate their careers. This program year she identified and coordinated four speakers for the chapter’s Virtual Winter Seminar and upcoming Virtual Regional Professional Development Training. Through her incredible dedication and contribution to the chapter's education committee, we were able to hold a successful winter event that offered high-quality continuing professional education credits to participants. Shana also organized a local volunteer event that resulted in teachers and students making thirty-six valentines for veterans at a local VA Medical Center as part of the chapter’s Valentines for Veterans campaign. While contributing to these events, she also successfully served as the Immediate Past President and advised the chapter’s leadership team and executive committee on the organization’s activities. She has attended all monthly CEC meetings and contributes to all facets of operations for the Chapter. She has provided a source of reliable support as we have worked to perform our responsibilities during the program year. She has volunteered to continue to support the chapter in the future as NCC representative. I honestly, I cannot thank her enough without this recognition.
