DISCUSSION
- Jana notified AGA national of our board members
- Jana asked if anyone receive any feedback on our program area plans. None noted, Jana will send them. Jana thinks we can outpace last year chapter recognition program and get more points than the bronze level. Given our challenges from last year, happy we made it to the bronze level.
- Michael sent the AGA/ASMC local PDT comparison, for three hotels. it John and Jackie had additional information to the spreadsheet. Jana asked John or Jackie if they could send to the Board and to the ASMC President. John said he would send notes to our Board and we’ll discuss at our July 19th meeting. No firm date has been set for the conference.
- National PDT: Ron G., Jackie H-C,, Lou O., James G., and Jana S. will be attending.
- All member emails: Jana was thinking this could be used to highlight a member in our Chapter or Board. She thought Lou O. may be a good person for our spotlight. Jackie brought up possibly spotlighting a Chapter member. This led to a discussion about establishing a quarterly/semi-annual newsletter. Jana asked Roderica if she could work on a newsletter. Not looking for a newsletter every month, possibly try for a quarterly, but a fall and spring newsletter would be great. Jana will continue doing the President’s emails.
- Other Events/Items:
- For the Citizen Centric Report, Jackie proposed that everyone write-up what they participated in last year. Jana said she will save it as a Word document and distribute. She also let Jene know that we will need the expenses and revenues for the report.
- Jana will check on the Komen Race for the Cure to establish an AGA team.
- Jackie brought up a fashion show for Ronald McDonald that may be possible. She would check into this and also a Love a Nurse Run at Edgewater Park as another community race.
- Roderica said she is mentoring those outside of government to help people in need get their degree and on how to get a job. A suggestion was made that she encourage people to join AGA
- CPE renewal – Jana said she will fill out the form and send into the Ohio Board of Accountancy.
- Jana asked the Board to identify other training that our members may be interested in that we can post to the website. Jackie will check the Ohio Society of CPAs Website. Jana said there was a Treasury training conference in DC during August that may be of interest.
