Wednesday, December 6: finalize plans, who will prepare room/ projector, advertise
Jackie will send electronic copy of flyer to James who will print color flyers. Alisha Allen will assist him.
Resume Writing Clinic
February
Discussion on doing a phone conference call for more individuals to attend in addition to having a conference room at DFAS and NASA for those employees.
Interview Clinic
March
Discussion on doing a panel with supervisors from DFAS and NASA for what they are looking for in an interviewee.
ACL(Audit Command Language) Overview Clinic
Discussion on a video teleconference to show the screens from DFAS to NASA employees. ACL is a software package that DFAS uses for analytics developed by a company in Canada for audit. A room would potentially be reserved at NASA and DFAS.
Bar Louie Social Event
Wednesday or Thursday, January 24 or 25
Discussion that Thursday would work best. AGA tentatively to buy appetizers and members buy their own drinks.
Community Service Event
Jackie will talk with Sharon about what would be a good option for the community service.
Contact with college professor member who stated that she would potentially be able to get an AGA speaker at Notre Dame and/or John Carroll, Tri C West.
Elections are coming up.
Discussion on the prospective names for positions be posted early to earn the AGA chapter points.
Sectional Leaders Meeting
Thursday, Friday, Saturday, May 3-5, Baltimore
AGA to send 2 people. Discussion on sending Jana as the president coming in and then another person. Jana pointed out the dates of May 3-5 are for 2017, so Jackie will double check the dates. Jana is interested in going. Jackie also is interested in going. Jackie did not go last year. Potentially, these would be our 2 people.
CGFM - Proclamations, study group.
Jackie stated that proclamations on CGFM certification by levels of government earn the AGA chapter points. Also, a new member is interested in CGFM study groups.
Recruiting Open House
Discussion on doing a recruiting event at DFAS and NASA or possibly a brewery like Fat Heads.
Engagement Discussion
Discussion on a possible All Members Meeting for additional participation by members. Jackie and Jana to work on together.
Discussion on possible outreach to AGA members to attend webinars at DFAS and NASA where we could make face to face contact with the members as well as provide CPE for their professional benefit. DFAS may have some space available in the National AGA Webinars purchased through DFAS. Parking would be expensive around DFAS. NASA may have some webinars, but NASA did not purchase the National AGA Webinar package. Thus, the NASA webinars would not be as often. Parking would be free at NASA.
Recurring Leadership Meetings are scheduled for the 2nd Friday of the month. Our next meeting will be: Friday, December 8, 2017 at 1 p.m.
