Certified Government Financial Manager Scholarships
Upon the availability of funds, reimbursement scholarships are available for AGA Guam Chapter members who become Certified Government Financial Managers during the Program Year. More details can be found at the CGFM page.
Free Continuing Professional Education
The AGA Guam Chapter provides Continuing Professional Education (CPE) annually for its members at no cost or at a discounted cost as compared to non-AGA members. Please visit the Events page for more information.
AGA National Professional Development Training Scholarship Raffle
Every program year, the AGA Guam Chapter sponsors an annual scholarship raffle for eligible members to attend the upcoming AGA National Professional Development Training (PDT). To become eligible, an AGA member must (1) be in good standing, (2) attend at least 8 of the 10 meetings starting in August, and (3) volunteer for one community service project. The Membership Chairperson tracks the attendance and involvement in community service projects and notify eligible (or close to eligible) members by the end of April. The raffle takes place during the May General Membership meeting. Winners represent the AGA Guam Chapter at the AGA National PDT that is held in the United States mainland at the expense of the AGA Guam Chapter.
Networking Benefits
The Young Professionals Committee provides an annual Student-Professional Mixer that provides the opportunity for students at the University of Guam and the Guam Community College to network with professional members of the AGA Guam Chapter. Furthermore, students are provided an annual Resume Building Workshop that assists them in preparing their resumes for dissemination to potential employers.
The AGA Guam Chapter also holds Monthly Membership Meetings where the General Membership meets for lunch with different guest speakers throughout the year.
Academic Scholarships
The AGA Guam Chapter Scholarship program is sponsored and funded jointly by AGA and Private sector contributors in order to “advance government accountability” and transparency in all government levels by reaching out to all accountability professionals from Accounting Technicians to Accountants. This Scholarship is open to students who intend to pursue an Associate’s Degree in Accounting at the Guam Community College (GCC). For more information, visit the Scholarship page.

Q: Can I be a member of two chapters at the same time?
A: Yes, you may be a member of more than one chapter. Please email agamembers@agacgfm.org to add a chapter to your membership. Please note there may be additional chapter dues. See AGA’s chapter dues schedule for more information.
