The AGA Virginia Peninsula Chapter serves local, state, and federal government accountability professionals in the financial management community residing in the Tidewater/Hampton Roads area (Chesapeake, Hampton, Isle of Wight County, Newport News, Norfolk, Poquoson, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, Williamsburg, and York County). We foster learning, leadership, professional development, certification and collaboration for professionals committed to advancing government accountability.

Clean the Bay Community Service Event This Saturday in Norfolk

This Saturday (07 JUN 2025), from 0900 AM to 1200 PM, the East Ocean View Community Center (9520 20th Bay St, Norfolk, VA 23518) will host the Clean the Bay Community Service Event. Volunteers are encouraged to park in the lot on 20th Bay Street and bring friends and family to participate in this important environmental effort. Don't miss this opportunity to make a positive impact on our local bay area and connect with fellow community members!

2025 CGFM Exam 2 Study Group Dates and Registration Link

Are you looking for accountability partners to get you CGFM certified? If YES, register for the VA Peninsula Chapter CGFM Exam 2 Study Group! Group sessions are via Zoom from June 2nd to August 27th (see schedule). Access is FREE & we provide the study materials.

Good luck to our Exam 3 study group members who are winding down their review and preparing for examination. A study group for Exam 2 will be starting in June....watch the website for details.

LEAD Training 2025 Recap

LEAD25 Training, held April 24–26 in Baltimore, MD was a tremendous success. Attendees enjoyed valuable networking opportunities, reconnected with old friends (Claudia Ohar), made new connections, deepened their knowledge of AGA, and even got to celebrate Kelly Stefanko’s birthday. We cannot wait to start the new year with a renewed sense of excitement!
