Veronica Baird will serve as the AGA DC Chapter President-Elect beginning on July 1, 2025, with her presidency commencing on July 1, 2026. Veronica is a Senior Manager at KPMG with over 10 years of progressive experience in performing CFO Act audits and audit readiness for Federal agencies. Before joining KPMG, she worked as a Program Control Analyst at Northrop Grumman.
Veronica has been an active member of the DC Chapter for many years, taking on numerous leadership roles. From 2015 to 2021, she served as the Director or Assistant Director of the Monthly Luncheons Committee, coordinating the logistics of eight luncheon events per program year. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she was instrumental in transitioning the luncheons to virtual webinars, ensuring quality programming and CPEs continued for members. In 2023, Veronica returned to a chapter committee role as the Executive Assistant to the Office of the President, where she monitors the AGA DC email account and assists with administrative duties. Veronica also actively participates in various local chapter events, demonstrating her ongoing commitment to AGA DC.
We are excited for Veronica to bring her wealth of AGA experience and fresh ideas to this important leadership role!

Brittany Hopwood will serve as the AGA DC Chapter Treasurer-Elect beginning on July 1, 2025, and Treasurer starting July 1, 2026. As a Senior Manager in KPMG’s Federal audit practice, Brittany has over 13 years of expertise in performing CFO Act audits and providing audit-readiness consulting for large Federal agencies. A proud CGFM and an active member of the DC Chapter since 2012, Brittany currently serves as an Assistant Director on the DC Chapter’s Strategy Committee.
Brittany has held several key roles within the chapter, including dedicating five years to the Education/Spring Training Committee, where she served as on-site logistics co-lead, technical committee lead, and later as the committee’s Director at Large. In 2021, Brittany played a pivotal role in transitioning the spring training event to a fully virtual platform and developing a hybrid format for the post-COVID environment. She championed the integration of technology to enhance the attendee experience, leveraging AGA National's relationships with conference vendors. In recognition of her dedication, Brittany received the 2023 AGA Volunteer of the Year award.
Brittany's experience is perfect to serve as a responsible steward of the chapter’s resources and continue supporting its growth and success.

Wendy Morris will continue to serve as the AGA DC Chapter Secretary beginning July 1, 2025, and serving for a two-year term. Wendy is a Principal with BDO Public Sector, LLC, where she leads the Federal Civilian Services Vertical, focusing on innovative solutions and team development. She has more than 30 years of financial management and internal control experience, successfully leading large project teams to address high-profile and complex federal and commercial challenges. She is deeply experienced with OMB Circular A-123, including Appendix A, B, C and D, Enterprise Risk Management and Improper Payments, Audit Remediation, Risk Assessment, Internal Controls over Operations, Internal Audit, COSO, GAO internal control framework (Green Book), and FMFIA.
Wendy has served as the DC Chapter Secretary since July 2023 and looks forward to continuing in this role for another two years. She has been an active member of AGA since 2004 (20+ years) and a Corporate Partner (CPAG) Representative since 2011- for MorganFranklin Consulting & BDO. She has been the executive leader internally to her companies for all things AGA since 2011, encouraging membership, participation, volunteers, CPAG participation, Conference Sponsorships, Development and Moderator of Sessions, etc.
We are confident that Wendy’s deep expertise and commitment to the chapter will continue to enhance the quality and impact of AGA DC’s initiatives.
