The Journal of Government Financial Management (Journal) is a valuable resource in government financial management, featuring articles and columns from practitioners and academics who provide insights based on research and experience. The quarterly publication, produced by AGA since 1950, is distributed to members and international libraries, comprising a circulation of approximately 14,250.

Our online library features research and reports written by experts in government finance, as well as free guides created in-house designed to help government finance professionals at all levels do their jobs better. AGA created simple tools to help users work through key issues including fraud prevention, and built a DATA Act Information Hub to keep the government financial management community updated via news, links and webcasts on one of the largest and most influential pieces of legislation to affect government finance and improve accountability in years.

In addition, AGA produces publications to keep members at the forefront of news and trends in the profession. The Journal, AGA’s award-winning quarterly publication, calls on experts and decision-makers to share insights on the present and future of the industry.
