About the Award
- Up to two crystal awards are presented annually
- Recognizes professionals serving in local government positions
- Honors career achievements that have advanced public financial management
- Nominees must have been employed by local government when the contribution was made
- AGA membership is not required
Nominees should exemplify:
- Leadership that has led to improved local government financial operations or policies
- Innovative approaches to strengthening accountability, transparency, or internal controls
- A consistent record of professionalism, ethical conduct, and public service
- Positive influence on organizational culture, performance, or service delivery
- Service as a role model and advocate for excellence in government financial management
