The National Collegiate Leadership Scholarship offers exceptional students the chance to attend National Leadership Training (NLT), where they can connect with senior leaders in government financial management and explore careers in public service.

What the Scholarship Provides
Professional Training & Networking
- Attend AGA’s National Leadership Training (NLT), featuring expert speakers from government and industry.
- Network with senior leaders and public service professionals.
- Explore career opportunities with potential employers from the public and private sectors.
All-Inclusive Scholarship Benefits
- Complimentary registration for the full two-day NLT event
- Airfare and hotel expenses covered (for recipients outside the D.C. metro area)
- Daily breakfast and lunch during the training
- Stipend for incidental expenses
- One-on-one advisor to help guide recipients through the event
- Recognition during the NLT awards ceremony and a certificate of participation
- Invitation to the NLT Young Professionals Session
- Featured on AGA’s website, AGA publications and on social media
Eligibility Requirements
To apply, you must:
- Sign up for a free AGA student membership
- Be a college junior or senior (minimum 60 credit hours completed)
- Major in accounting, finance, business, data analytics, information technology/security, or a related field
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.2
- Show leadership experience on campus or through another organization
- Submit an unofficial transcript
- (Optional but recommended) Include a letter of recommendation from a faculty member
Essay Guidelines: Use of AI
All scholarship essays must reflect your own original work. While using AI tools for research or brainstorming is permitted, AI-generated content may not be included in your final submission. Any essays found to have been significantly written or edited by AI will be disqualified.
