AGA is looking for groundbreaking ideas, systems, or technologies that improve government operations at the federal, state, or local level.

Top finalists will pitch their innovations live at the Technology & Transformation Summit — where our audience picks the winner.

2025 submissions will open in Fall 2025.

Submission Entry Rules

  • Who Can Submit
    Anyone is welcome to submit an innovation that benefits—or has the potential to benefit—government operations and/or public services.
  • Eligibility Criteria
    Technology solutions must be recently conceived, developed, or deployed. Previously selected Innovation Challenge winners are not eligible.
  • Review Process
    Submissions will be initially reviewed by a panel of industry experts. You may be asked to provide clarification or additional information prior to final acceptance.
  • Selection of Finalists
    AGA’s Technology Committee will evaluate all submissions and select the top three innovations to be showcased at the live event. If selected, you will receive detailed instructions regarding your presentation.
  • Judging Criteria
    Submissions will be evaluated based on the following:
    • Broad Adoption – The solution can be applied across multiple government agencies or levels of government.
    • Impact – The innovation effectively addresses a complex challenge and simplifies the path to resolution.
    • Feasibility – The idea is practical, achievable in the near term, and can be implemented without excessive complexity.
