Resilient Leadership: Leading in Your Own Sphere of Influence
Leaders across government agencies and public sector organizations are often called upon to respond swiftly and effectively during times of crisis, disruption, and uncertainty. Whether addressing natural disasters, public health emergencies, organizational shifts, or policy changes, the ability to lead with clarity, composure, and purpose is critical to sustaining public trust and mission effectiveness.
Vibrant agencies and organizations also recognize that leadership can occur at multiple levels, and they take steps to empower staff—from top executives to junior managers—to lead within their own spheres of influence. By providing staff opportunities to lead from where they are and creating a leadership environment that encourages staff to identify and seize these opportunities, agencies and organizations can boost employee morale and enhance results for the public.
This webinar is designed for government leaders and contractors at the federal, state, and local levels who are navigating complex challenges in rapidly evolving environments. Participants will gain practical strategies and tools to strengthen their leadership approach, support their teams, and help staff maximize their impact regardless of their official title.
The webinar will feature two panels. The first, with senior executives, will explore how leaders can navigate crises by applying core leadership competencies, communicating with transparency and trust, and supporting leadership at all levels. The second panel will highlight staff perspectives through a conversation with—and case study of—GAO staff who will share approaches for empowering others to lead where they are.
