Executive Committee Minutes

September 8, 2020 12:00 PM

Sarah Wellner called the meeting to order. CEC Members present: Matt Fickbohm, Jake Harris, Amanda Werre, Allysen Kerr, Dallas Fitzgerald, Steven Kohler, and Heather Nachtigal.

Approve Agenda – The agenda was approved as presented.

Approve Minutes -  Allysen motioned to approve prior meeting minutes, Matt seconded the motion, and all members present approved the minutes of the August 11, 2020. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report – Report was approved as presented.

Old Business –

AGA Webinars – Amanda sent out listing of 5 webinars to review. Discussed options regarding the number of participants allowed for each webinar, as we typically purchase up to 30 lines. We may run into an issue this year with members attending virtually. Matt motioned that if willing, BFM purchase the initial 30 lines as they have in the past, then AGA will pay for any lines above and beyond the initial 30. Allysen seconded, and all members present approved. Motion carried.

Directors Reports

Accountability – Steven prepared and sent the Chapter CCR to the CEC to review.

Certification – No report.

Communications – Sarah requested that the CEC come to the next meeting with ideas for the next newsletter. Steven suggested possibly going away from the newsletter and doing news tidbits via Twitter, Facebook, and/or chapter website.

Community Service – Allysen will sign the chapter up for two backpack filling slots. Also, Jake presented an idea for another community service event, Sleep in Heavenly Peace. He will reach out to the volunteer coordinator for more details.

Education – No report.

Membership – No report.

Programs & Technical – No report.

Early Education – No report.

New Business –

2021 PDC – The next PDC will be held April 12-13, 2021. We will reach out to 2020 speakers to see if they are interested and available to present at the 2021 PDC. Discussion was held regarding in-person and virtual PDC options, no decision was made and discussion will be ongoing.

Adjournment – The meeting was adjourned at 12:48 PM.

The next meeting is to be on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at Noon via Zoom.
