ACE 2025–2026 Program Year FAQs

Q: Do we need to hold a strategic planning session to set chapter goals?

A: While not required, holding an in-person or virtual strategic planning session early in the year is strongly recommended. It’s a best practice for aligning leadership on chapter goals and initiatives—and it helps inform your ACE goals submission (due by September 1).

Q: What are considered “virtual” support options for CGFM candidates?
A: Anything you can provide without in-person support, like study tools.

Q: What are considered “in-person” support options for CGFM candidates?
A: Anything that requires people to convene, like hosting a CGFM course or in-person study group.

Q: Do we really need to have an audit?
A: Yes. Each chapter is expected to conduct an annual evaluation or audit to ensure accurate accounting practices and appropriate internal controls. This can be done pro bono by a chapter member who is not involved in financial operations (to maintain independence), or through a contracted accounting firm.

Q: What kind of documentation will be needed to verify the achievements?
A: The ACE Recording Template guides you through what to submit for all necessary requirements.

Q: Do you have a template for a member survey that would help capture membership satisfaction data?
A: Absolutely! Check out the membership section of Chapter Resources.

Q: What social media sites are required for the Communications tier 3?
A: Whatever resonates with your current and potential members! We recommend using LinkedIn and Facebook.
